Call again today!!! As long as they have it before surgery you should be ok? R u on the pre op diet? Hows that going for you? You could be a little emotional because of that. Not that that makes his lateness ok. Sometimes when I am stressed at someone I take a pillow (so no one can hear me) and say all the things into the pilow that I want to say to them! Then you are not hurting anyone or being rude but it gets it all out there. and you can tell the pillow anything. I know it sounds dumb but I feel better afterward. Sometimes I call the pillow by their name. lol Hope it helps!

I agree with Eileen call the pcp again today and i what i do is ask for a copy of it to be faxed to me as well.

It will all work out okay. I know i had to do that as well but i had to have it there the same day they told me on Friday as Monday was my surgery and it had to come from my two specialists not just one.

Hold onto your Faith it will all be okay. Also i like Eileen's idea.

Personally, I'd be going to his office, getting a copy and deliver it to the hospital my self today. Many Dr.'s offices only work half daay on Fridays. Otherwise, I'd be calling every hour until I've confirmed with the hospital they have received it.

The PCP didnt do the testing. the hospital where I am having the surgery sent him over the pre op tests, and they all cam e out fine. He just had to review them and then FAX them over his clearance. He received them but just didnt FAX over the clearance. That is what I don't understand. I work in Jersey and the doctor is in the Bronx, so unfortunately I can't leave work.

I agree with the ladies. You have to remember they have hundreds of people and we always think we should be number 1 :) In reality we are just a number or name to them. Keep calling and tell them you don't want to be a bother but you don't want your surgery cancelled because of 1 piece of paper. If you call every hour that paper will be faxed very fast. Stay on them and don't give up

If your PCP told you that your clear for surgery then you're ok. The fax is just a technicallity.
I would call them this afternoon and make sure they received the fax and if not, then first thing Tuesday call again and then continue to call until it gets sent over

don't wait call now tell them you will check with the hospital in an hour and if they didnt get it you will call back to "let them know" just a nice way of saying listen I will not leave you alone till you do this. At this point with the PCP knowing you needed this yesterday you demand to be number 1 now. Problem is the doc could of done the paper and his office staff not sent it yet too.

tonight make yourself a warm bath or a room of scented candles and a warm cloth over your eyes and try to bring some of that stress down. You don't wana be making yourself crazy this close.
