I haven't had surgery yet but experience problems with gas, constipation and sometimes IBS symptoms. I'm wondering how the surgery is going to effect my stomach. Will it get better or worse? Anyone else have problems with their stomach before surgery?

I had different stomach problems before surgery. I had diarrhea and a nervous stomach. After surgery I have constipation issues and have to take a stool softener daily. This surgery is life saving, but be aware that there are often side effects. So talk to your surgeon about your concerns so you can make a good choice.

After surgery - it seems I developed a milk allergy - the carnation drinks made me really sick. That seems to have calmed down and I have basically lived on Isopure and one Unjury drink in the evenings. I have just started solids - so am interested to see how this all goes. If you have a weak stomach - may be an idea to avoid lactose drinks
