Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Perhaps this was just a super-virulent strain? If it has been over 24 hours, I'd call the dr in the morning (or even go to the ER tonight) - it is super-easy to get too dehydrated post-op. There are shots for nausea. I used to use the over-the counter anti-nausea meds pre-op but I think they have too much sugar for me now.
Have you tried hot, herbal tea?
((hugs))

Something that helps me with nausea is fresh, grated ginger steeped in tea. Add a little honey or stevia if you need to, but ginger helps to settle down upset tummies. That's why grandma always had ginger ale on hand.
Feel better.
