Got the sf popsicles, the sf water flavoring, the chicken broth, the spicy V-8 juice, the protein powder and the multivitamins. So long diabetes meds and here I go!

I will reiterate what others have said. I think the pre-op liquid diet was the most difficult part of this whole process. You can do this, and it will prepare you for the liquid diet post-op. Good luck, and keep your hands and mind busy so you don't focus on food.

This is day two and I am doing just fine. I found it really helpful to be cooking dinners and lunches for everyone. Working with the food, smelling it ask it cooked, helped fill some of the cravings. I am still mildly hungry, but not bad really. I made an oopsy thought last night. My partner made a nice salad with cucumbers, cheese and ranch dressing. I walked over to it an put a fork full in my mouth before I remembered I wasn't supposed to.
I did have a coffee cup full of really good chicken bullion last night for dinner from this bulk pack bullion powder. So much better than the cubes. But I ended up so bloated and puffy this morning when I woke up from it I hesitate to drink any more. In my bariatric diet education class they said some people with tend to retain water and not lose weight much because of it. Piddlypoop! That was the best thing all day, as I am more of a person to crave protein than sweets any day. I am going to try a small bit again and see if it has the same effect.
Anywho, other than that, I am doing fine so far. Been keeping myself really busy, so that has helped a lot.
