Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
In the months to come I will let you know how it goes for me!
Does this mean if it was a "she" she wouldn't be grumpy? or make you feel ill? I just have to laugh!
"It" will tell you if you do something wrong, and believe me "it" makes no bones about it either. We have to learn by our mistakes and our new little "buddy" makes sure the point is made.
It will get easier, I promise
Still chuckling ~~~~~~ =) You always make my day!
Joy... funny thing is, I actually gave though to the he/she thing... I have found that it tends to be men that have caused me the most pain over the years (2 husbands, 3 sons! I even have 3 siblings, all big brothers!), yet can also change my entire life for the better.... so my pouch must be a 'he' :) :) Glad I made you giggle!
You will get used to the new pouch before long. I still have to "eyeball" what I eat cause my natural full feeling isn't there. For some crazy reason when I am full I have to blow my nose? Anyone had that happen? This was the 1st full signal I had and it still works.
As far as hunger, I wasn't hungry the first weeks at all. Now after 8 months I get the normal hungries at meal times.
I like the reference to the pouch as a "HE" due to it being grouchy by the way!
I really think you should name your pouch....
