Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Things like popsicles and crystal lite are often still sweetened with aspartame which is particularly bad for you.
Perhaps you could try unsweetened kool-aid and add your own stevia? At least Stevia is natural rather than chemical. You could even make the kool-aid into popsicles if you wanted. I don't personally eat very many sweet foods at all but I always try to use Stevia rather than any of the other alternatives when I can.
I also always keep a water bottle next to me at all times so that I can sip from it. If you have a fancy cellphone you can program it to beep every 10 minutes to remind you to take a sip of water.
