Well, last night I went for my sleep study. I wasn't really thrilled about the idea of possibly getting a CPAP machine...one - I can't stand the idea of having something over my nose or mouth and two...even with my insurance kicking in 80%, I would still have to pay $400 and I would rather put that money to my first mortorcycle.
Good news!!!! No real sleep apnea and no CPAP for me! More importantly, one more box ticked off on my journey to surgery!
If I ever have to go again though, I'll bring a ball cap to wear the next morning until I get all the goop out of my hair. I looked SPECIAL getting on the bus this morning at 6:00 AM with my pillow and looking like 5 seagulls had crapped on my head!

Glad you don't need it. I have both types of sleep apnea - obesity and regular. With the surgery I have come a long way. Had to do the test twice in the last 4 yrs. 1st test showed I stop breathing 30 times an hour. Now just 1 1/2 minutes an hour.
At first couldn't lay down with out the machine which was set on the highest setting made. Now can actually go without it at night if I wanted to.
oh and it is such a romantic thing to wear that mask at night. Best birth control ever. LOL
