I am just about four weeks out with the sleeve. I feel good and better with each passing day. I have lost just over 30 lbs. My only compliant is that I am thirsty when I drink plain water. I have been drinking vitamin zero water that has been watered down because I was trying to lower the amount of carbs. I do not have any cravings or head hunger but I do have to push myself to eat or else I forget. I havent ever thrown up but I did have an italian icee come out my nose the first week post op. I am learning when I get full because I will burp a lot of I go to far. Hope this helps. P.s. I am completely cleared as of this upcoming week to start working out if I want but no weights for two more weeks.

I had the Sleeve done last year, July 12, 2011. I started out at 238, and today I am 135. I'm at goal weight. I am happier and healthier than I have been for years. I am the smallest I have ever been as an adult. I eat the same thing as everyone else, only a lot less. I can exercise without heaving, I can run and do cartwheels with my nieces. I am healthy today and would do it again. Let me know if you have any questions on this. THis was not an easy journey, but one well worth it.

I had the sleeve on 3/5. I weighed 267. Today I weigh..I dunno, 199 I think.

I do still get sick if I overeat meat, but most other things are tolerated well. I don't have any regrets other than my actual, real, true hunger has returned about a week ago. I just need to not give in and eat donuts..and I haven't eaten any :)

I had the sleeve on June 5. I am about 6 weeks post op. The results have been FANTASTIC! I have had not problems. No pain, no vomitting, no nauseation. I am beginning to think June 5 will be my new birth date, if you know what I mean. I am doing very well. To date, I have lost 34 lbs and about 3 -4 sizes in clothes. The only problem I am having is getting in enough protein. Protein gives you energy. I learned quickly that I must drink a shake a day to get in most of my protein and the rest of the protein I can eat. I am getting down all of my vitamins with no problems. I was excercising regulary but when I had the protein issues, I had not energy now I am back to exercising and feeling GREAT! This has been one of the best decisions of my life.

I also had the sleeve on June 5th and have had no major issues. The worst part was the post-op diet, because I did not do a pre-op diet I was totally un-prepared for the limited diet afterward. Protein shakes have been a challenge for me as they do not agree with my new stomach. But I am now 7 weeks out and have lost 35 lbs. I have no food restrictions (except those I put on myself), I've been working out 4 times a week and feeling great. Medically, I was off insulin before I left the hospital and I have not taken ANY diabetes or blood pressure meds for the last week. It is like my whole system has been re-set and is now working the way it is supposed to. I am a happy girl : )

Thanks everybody!!! I am schedule to see a WLS surgeon on July 30. I am excited. Hopefully, I will have the surgery this year. I might have to wait unti next year to meet my insurance requirements.
