I am just over 1 year post op from a RNY. I have lost 127lb in this glorious life-changing year. When I look in the mirror, I definately see that I have lost weight, but I dont see 127lb worth.
I guess my question is for the vets out there, do you have this problem? I work in a Drs office, and I just charted someone who weighs 3lb more then me, and is actually 2 inches shorter. It absolutely BLOWS my mind that I could weigh less then her. I cant see it. Granted, everyone carrys weight differently, but even knowing that.... MIND, BLOWN.
I also have a strange obsession with the website mybodygallery.com I type in my stats and I honestly think every single one of these chicks are full of it. No friggin way do you weigh the same as me, we look NOTHING alike.
Does it take a while for my head to catch up with the rapid weight loss?

But the hardest part is my face. I was always the "she has such a pretty face" girl. But even just last night I caught a glimpse of my face in the car window and it was shocking. It's not that it's got lots of wrinkles, but it's just not plump any more.
I've really never been this thin for this long. I thought I would love how I look. But I don't. But I wouldn't go back because I didn't like me then either. At least now I can move.
It's like we're secret agents. Thin people think we're one of them and fat people don't know we're actually one of them. And we don't know who the hell we are!
