Hey all been on the road with the hubby and kids for two weeks now. I won't say it's been all easy but we've had fun. I have had some days where its been hard to get in the protein and even the right amount of water. But we have gotten that down. Every few days we stop at a walmart and get groceries. I have a few staples in the truck at all times like water and protein mix. We keep lots of water on the truck as the baby still needs to have his bottles. I have a crockpot and an electric skillet in the truck along with a microwave for cooking meals. It works usually in the morning I make some eggs, turkey bacon or sausage, and hashbrowns for the hubby and oldest. In the afternoon we have sandwiches and chips for the hubby and oldest and I will either eat just some of the lunch meat and cheese or make a protein shake. For dinner it's something that I put in the crockpot like chicken, steak, roast, ham, turkey etc. Of course the hubby and kid get some potatoes and other veggies with it and I will take a small salad if there is room. There have been times when I have just wanted to throw in the towel and say I want to go back home but the look on my oldest sons face when he sees something new is worth it the extra effort. For exercise we usually walk around the truck stop/rest area in the morning before we leave and then stop every few hours to walk around and stretch. Generally at those times we play ball or frisbee at a rest area and the kids love it. We started in Idaho went through Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, back to Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, back to Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, back to Maryland, West Virginia and we are now back in Virginia we make our final drop this load in Abington, VA I know I spelled it wrong and who knows where we go from there. I am really enjoying seeing the east coast and we were able to stop a few days in Florida and are stopped a few days here in Virginia.
