I have absolutely no regrets. My surgery and recovery have gone really well. Much easier than the 2 c-sections I\'ve had. The thing that caught me most off gaurd after surgery was not being able to physically tolerate more than 4g of sugar. You really have to learn to watch labels. Especially on chosing something to drink. Emotional eating isn\'t really an option/issue for me anymore. I still love food, and enjoy eating and feel satisfied. But I can\'t overeat now. It\'s wonderful actually to finally have limits in place. I am most thankful that food is not always on my mind. The control it had over me is gone.
You also have to realize the adjustments you have to make after the surgery, including emotional, and physically. How people will treat you differently that you are "the weight" they like you to be at to like you. I have had people who would not give me the time of day when I weighed 400 pounds, and now talk to me and friendly to me now. I just treat these people cordially.
You will receive alot of comments how they know people who gain the weight back or you "cheated" to lose weight.
For me, this surgery was a major life-change for me. I am still adjusting to everything, but I wake up not having no regrets with this surgery.
Good luck with your surgery!
