My program told me to wait 1.5 years after surgery but that after that... it was totally fine to have another baby. So thats my plan! :)

I was told 12-18mo post op. I'm 3mo post op I'm not going to wait that long though maybe anothe 4mo. But that's just me I know I could feed the fetus and me.

ours said 2 years. I think you need to consult with your surgeon that did the procedure so you can hear the pros and cons of getting pregnant before the waiting period they recommend.

I was also told 2 years too, I have a friend that had a baby 3 years post op, she was put on a special diet by the OBGYN. She did gain some weight back, she kept it off all the way until then, but everyone is different...Good Luck

I was told 2 years. I had a coworker who had gbs an she didn't wait. She got pregnant less then 6 months after. She had prob after prob. 5 years later she is still having probs. Because she didn't wait, she had hernias, bowel obstructions, stomach bleeding probs. And she is still hurting from it. There is a reason why they tell you to wait. Best advise is to talk to your surgeon. No sense putting yourself an a baby at risk.

I know they said a year out and I don't plan on doing it until then I want to lose all my weight first lol I'm only three months out now so I guess I never realized I was wanting another one cause I didn't want to get heavier and heavier then again it could kist be a phase and I change my mind like my husband says I will lol thank you all for the input. :)

Yes please use wisdom and wait the allotted amount of time for your sake and the babies.

Thepbourne lol the only reason I have baby fever is cause we had the cutest babies over here this weekend!! I already told them I wanna baby sit and I'm sure I will change my mind after my youngest is about to be 5 and in school so I would be starting all over lol I will wait the time period though if I decide to have another though I don't want any issues with anything :)

Trust me i understand every i see my grandson who is 10 months now i want another baby until i spend about 3 consecutive hours with him then I smack myself out of it and move on. My baby is 26 going on 27 I would be in a self induced coma for 9 months if I get pregnant at this point. LMBO, but if it's what you want and your still viable for it once you've passed the critical stage post op - go for it sweety - best of luck

thank you im still young im only 25 so even if i waited another two years i will still be young lol the only thing that deters me is both my boys will be 18 by the time im 40 lol do i want to start over ... see its passing until i see the baby again lol :)

My bariatric doctor said wait 2 years and I recently went to the obgyn and she asked if I was looking to have kids and I told her yes honestly I'd like a baby. She said please wait 2 years because of the surgery. She's had a lot of patients come in who had the surgery and didn't wait and they have a lot of problems.

I get baby feavor every time i hold one of those little buggers. my friends babies are now having babies and my sister is caring for her grand babies while my niece is deployed.........there is a reason women have babies in their 20s and not 40+ lol

My surgeons recomend 2 years. I had a friend that waited a little over. she is doing great with a beautiful little boy. she is also back to her goal weight.
