Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
A couple of things to point out: I had the sleeve, not bypass, which is less likely to react to food swelling in my stomach. I also eat very little of the pasta and not more than twice a month. Carbs are not how we lose weight.
Better than low carb/high fiber pasta is spaghetti squash, and there's a new vegetable peeler that works like a pencil sharpener to give you long ribbons of zuchini and stuff. I love zuchini and other veggies with pasta sauce on them. Try zuchini slabs in place of lasagna noodles. MMMMmmm good.
Delicious without the noodles!!
