My nut said 60-80 grams per day but I was wondering how much you can absorb at one time. I've heard all different kinds of numbers but just wanted to know if any of you have asked your nut that particular question.

I have wondered the same thing

Phillip at The Vitamin Shoppe here at home.............. told me a body can only absorb 30 to 35 grams at time... so thats one opinion...... Now i loveeeeeeeee the "muscle Milk" protein bar. Vanilla toffe crunch with 23 grams of pro. in it. that works for me..easy-peasy!! I know i am scared NOT to get my protein in... (i am 6 weeks out)

I have been told 30 grams as well.

I asked my nut a similar question... How much is too much protein before the kidneys suffer. She says 150 a day over an extended period of time is not good for us. She receommends that I drink Isopure Green Tea once a day, and that has 40 grams of protein per serving. Of course it takes me an hour or so to drink it though.

I called my nut and asked about putting 2 scoops of protein powder in my shake (didn't know if that was too much) and she said that would be fine since I'm drinking it through out the day....only problem is once I make a shake I try to get it down ASAP since I hate them! I guess she didn't really answer my question!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
