I'm trying to eat something every 3 hrs to stabalize my hunger
I am six months out from RNY. I notice my appetite does change from day to day. I would say I range from not really hungry to mildly hungry. I never really experience feeling like I am starving or anything. Sometimes that might really be thirst or what some call head hunger.
If I am feeling hungrier than normal I will have a cup of tea or some water or just go ahead and get a small snack -- usually a cheese stick or some jerkey and that makes it all ok again.
Im almost a month out and is a struggle but hey congrats in your 90 pound loss!!! Thats amazing!!!
Yes, there is a difference in my appetite from day to day.
With that said, what I perceive as "hunger" can actually be other things....thirst, stress (or other emotions), needing sleep, carb rebound, caffein, and artificial sweeteners can all trigger the feeling we interpret as "hunger."
If I think I'm hungry, I check to see if something else is going on...I usually start with a bottle of water.
