Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. I tried the Superman, the Shamrock, the Cake Batter and the Chocolate PB ones..they were all good. Just used PB2 in the shake instead of PB :)
Good luck
i got it, no sugar added and its soooo good and im super picky too. i love it.
I haven't tried the premixed ones although i see several others have. I am sure that you will find that just right.
Just be sure to look at the SODIUM if you have BP you want low sodium, Protein as many are not as high as 30 and sugars u want to try and do 2 less per my nutritionist and this is 1 gram so nutritonist said good choice and so did my PCP.
Best of luck to you..
Right now I like the chocolate and I mix it with skim milk and ice in my blender and it tastes really good. But I would like to try others so I can have them on hand for after surgery so I can have mutilple flavors to try in case my tastes do change.
I use the premier ones from Costco. I have to admit, I don't love it, but it's ok, and I try to drink it fast with a straw before I'm really awake. I just drink it straight out of the container, like a juice box, but you can blend it with ice and some flavouring (peppermint extract is nice).
I would love to switch to something sweetened with Stevia instead of artificial sweeteners (I believe that Jay Robb uses Stevia), but nothing like that is available in Canada.
