Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I used a protein powder that is 30 grams for one scoop. I add it to one cup of skim milk, so that is 38 grams, and then I do 2 of them a day.
I also add extra skim if its too sweet , and add any extra to my grams of protein! I get 76 grams a day thru 2 of these protein shakes I mix.

I'm on soft foods starting today. Eating tuna fish, and it tastes sooo good! Something for you to look forward to!!!
Hugs,

I also used (still do on occasion) Syntrax nectar flavored protein drinks. I have Cherry Blast and Fuzzy Navel. it is more like crystal light so it just goes in your water.
You can also take a greek yogurt (plain) and mix it with a scoop of Cherry Blast and a bit of sweeter and make a protein bomb as a friend of mine calls them :)
You'll get there! And if you try different protein powders you'll find one you like.
in a sauce pan put, broth (Chicken or Beef) and bring to a boil. Add egg beaters and keep stirring the mixture. (it will remain very soft and light). If you wish afterwards you can blend it to smooth it out further.
Last night I tried chicken breast, broccoli, Chicken stock and eggbeaters and after it cooked used a bullet blender to make smooth. It tastes and like like a souffle, Very smooth and not heavy or greasy.
My program had us on broth, tea, jello, and the "clear" (gross, syrupy) protein drinks the first week. We couldn't do the milk-based protein drinks for the first month. If you are using powder, you can use a double scoop of protein in your shake. There is an "unflavored" protein powder you can mix into your soups and yogurt. I think it is called "Unjury."
