I bought Whey Protein Isolate 30mg of protein, at Walmart. I tried it for the first time last night, I got the chocolate.

It didn't taste bad, but it needed something, so I added 1 tsp of peanut butter, and that did the trick!!

I wanted to ask, you all mentioned some type of drink, that tastes like lemonade? A protein drink???

Anyone remember what that was, and where did you buy it? I'm trying out a few options in advance, and wanted to get another option.

I like the Syntrax Nectar. They have a Roadside Lemonaide that is good. You can order samples from BJ's Bariatrics of all the flavors they have.

I got Body Fortess at walmart 65% protien. It was the highest protein they had. It is chocolate and has a rather funny taste in water, I use skimmed milk. Hey' I tried the peanut butter last nite, Tastes great! It does sometimes upset my pouch it's little too thick so I simply add a bit more milk.

I have the chocolate protein power and it has become my morning drink. I mix with milk but couldn't quite stomach the taste. I added a squirt of sf chocolate syrup and that made all the difference. Now, it's like a thick chocolate shake to me. Kim

I am visiting family in the city this week and went into GNC this morning and the clerk was wonderfully helpful and talked alot about protein. Anyway to get to my point, she talked about whey protein having 3 levels. At level 3 it is the hardest to digest, and level 1 one is the easiest. Of course the price reflects this. But I would assume that the stuff they sell at Walmart might be closer to the level 3. And with our surgery and our tummies as they are level 1 would probably be the best option for us. She gave me several samples of some different options to try out. I also got some different flavors of the Quest protein bars. The one I tried today was pretty good and actually sat well with my tempermental pouch.

Also Boo if you like peanut butter in your drink, you might try PB2 by plantation. I buy it from Amazon. It has all the yummy stuff of peanut butter but a fraction of the fat and calories :) :)

I too have syntrax nectar. I have it in Cherry and Fuzzy Navel flavored. Yesterday, when I got home from Hosp I used that in my water which allowed me to get in my first 23 grams of protein my very first day home :) :)
