I believe what you are looking for is the IDS Whey Protein bullet. it is 42 grams of whey protein in one shot. Please be careful and order just a few or check some place like GNC to try a few.

My doctor told me I couldn't use the protein bullets..

I have been buying them at walmart. This protein isn't as good as some, but I only add them to help be get in at least 75-100 grams of protein a day. The ones from walmart are only 26 grms and your body can only absorb 30 at a time. I add it to water and sip all day.

what exactly is a protein bullet? I am having trouble with the protein drinks. The smell alone makes me want to barf!!!

I use them i get them from a company that makes meals and all kinds of snacks for gbs and i love them they are 42 grams ill get back to you with the site I get the frut punch or the orange and I mix them with my drinks they dont taste bad alone but are strong.. gl.. Nae

My doc recommended the bullets. He said your body absorbs about 40 grams at a time and these were perfect. Two of these a day to start with, you get all your protein in. One a day after that plus your meals, should be no problem getting it all in.
I didn't care for the orange, tasted like childrens cough syrup to me. Actually, they all have a kinda strange taste, but I tolerate them MUCH better than the powders. I suggest picking a few up from GNC first, that way you know which ones you like before ordering alot of them.
I mix mine in a bottle of water and add a little bit of Crystal Light to help mask the protein flavor.

I was told to stay away from the collagen protein which the bullets are made of

To me, the 2 different ones I tried smelled so much like dirty socks I couldn't get close enough to actually ingest them.

I do know that I'm not going to bother using a substandard form of protein. (collegen) Especially one that costs more then the most absorbable and easiest to metabolize formula. (Whey protein Isolate)

I was at Meijer's last night and discovered that they also carry the Body Fortress protein supplement. It costs more (of course) then Walmart charges for it, but many people don't have a Walmart near them.

Log onto the website BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE. I just ordered 2 of the bullet sampler packets to see which ones I might like best. The site has other great products too that friends have told me taste good and are easy to get down. You can either drink the bullets straight or dump it into your water for the day. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the suggestion Nicole.. I bought a few at GNC and they are awesome.. I diluted them in water and added some SF Kool-Aid type drink mix to it and it tastes great!.. MY GOD.. this is SOO much better than the chalky powder crap!! .. WHEW!!!!!!!

Also of you go to the GNC website and get the "Gold Card" and order during the first week of the month you get an additional 20% off so you can get these bullets for about $30.00 for a dozen.. or $2.50 a piece.. which is much cheaper than the $3+ they charge in the stores.

I was surprised at how big these "bullets" are.. haha. I was looking at one while I was driving home got some funny looks from people on the road.. hahaha.. Must be the shape of them I guess.. Yikes.. hahaha.

I know that whey protein is best absorbed but what about soy protein? I just bought 2 small canisters from walmart for about 8 bucks. Made a recipe using vanilla (thanks eggface)and it is delish! I am hoping i dont have to switch again!
