Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
recently I got a big can of Body Fortrest protein powder, you can mix it in milk or water. It isn't bad. It comes in chocolate and vanilla. I only tried the chocolate so far.
The sugar free instant breakfast is only in chocolate here. In bigger places you may have a variety.
There are some fiber/protein bars around. I get them a the pharmacy in walmart. They are darn near a candy bar and some times they make me dump. I am weaning myself off them.
I still got a few protein shots left. They are too gross to drink and too expensive to toss!
If you continue to have problems with the protein drinks, contact your doctors office for some other options.
Shelley :o)
I ordered the chocolate and peanut butter flavors and mix them. Really good!
Hang in there!

I buy mine at the local GNC store
Oh, and the chocolate ones, if you warm them up in the microwave.... oh... yummy! :)
Keep in mind I am still preop, so what works for me now, well who knows post surgery!
