Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Just yesterday my hubby and I were talking as I am concerned about getting enough protein without the shake when the time comes... I enjoy my shake and it has become an important part of my day....
I also eat shrimp almost every day.... It is very high in protein.... I have been warned to watch my cholesterol, but I had it checked just this past week, and for the first time in at least ten years it came back NORMAL.... And I was not fasting when my doc drew the blood... I had just eaten lunch and it was a shrimp lunch... So no more cholesterol meds for me at this point in my life....
