This is a rather intimate question but necessary and i don't recall seeing the answer posed as yet so please forgive me. But how long before you can participate in sexual activity after GBS. It may be silly to some but its relevant to me, lol, I'm just saying.

I would say whenever you feel up to it. This surgery takes a lot out of you. 4 weeks may seem long but then again may not seem long enough.

My doctor suggested 4 weeks but said it was totally up to me. I didn't feel well enough in the first 4 weeks, anyway.

We waited three weeks. My doc said whenever I was physically and emotionally ready. At three weeks out, it was not "wild tiger" but more like "little kitten"! But things WILL change! :D

Of course I am still pre op! But I would think it would depend on how active of a sport you are talking about :)

My doctor told me to wait 6 weeks, so yeah........................after the 3rd one I was getting it in*lol*

This was a concern of mine as well, and my husband and I were very careful at about 10 days post op. I was ready but he was afraid of hurting me. He realized soon later that I was fine.
You won't want to for a few days after the surgery but when you're comfortable go for it.

My doc said whenever I was ready...my fiancee gave "the eyes" and I gave him the palm...hahahahaha...I guess just go on how you are feeling...

I waited two weeks and it was too soon for me. But there was no way I was gonna say, "Stop, I changed my mind, it hurts too much!" I ached for days but luckily he was out of town...so it was another week before trying again and then I was fine.
