Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
FYI I blended pea, bean and lentil based soups from DAY1.
And never looked back.
Protein, fiber natural B vitamins. They are a prefect food for a butchered pouch. I promise Micheal you will tolerate them well from day 1. BLENDED!
Good luck Lu
Hope that helps a little! Good luck :)

Spending time googling pays off. If you don't have much of a program then this is the place to come. Good luck!

Each plan is different.
For instance, the only thing my plan allowed was broth and sugar free jello. And you hardly need any of it, because your meals are so small.
One thing I'd suggest you get is a good water pitcher that can measure ounces... I use it to keep track of how much I'm drinking each day.
I was the same way, Mike. When I got home, it was just me... So, I prepared, much like you are. I had my water pitcher, post op food, some hydrocortizone cream in case my incisions started to itch... I made a list and got everything.
Best wishes!

Get some protein powders ... I ordered some samples online from places like bariatric panty and bariatric advantage so I could see what I liked.
Skim milk. Even if you are having problems getting in any other source of protein, you can have some skim milk and get protein in.
The first few weeks fly by ... my first six have just completely disappeared. Follow your program - I've learned from these boards that every program is different, TAKE YOUR VITAMINS, WALK, and love losing weight.
