Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

I go for surgery next Wednesday and can not wait to start shedding this bagage. :)
It's difficult not to compare your own loss with others, but here's how I had to think of it. My surgeon's goal for me was a loss of 87 pounds. Many others here on the forum had more than that to lose. Given we are all basically at the same caloric intake, someone who has a greater amount to lose will have a greater calorie deficit and will lose faster. Add to that excersise and individual body chemistries and you'll realize that all you can do is stay true to your program guidelines and have patience.
Hang in there!
Blessings!
