Had a fabulous post-op visit. Met with the nurse practitioner which I adored! She was great. I have lost a total of 26 lbs since surgery. I can begin to eat again...puree but it is food!

My first meal was not the baked potato I originally craved but an omelet with cheese, skim milk, and ham.

Still eating...I have to distract myself so that I don't scarf it down like a 32 oz. big gulp!

My emotions are doing better, Praise God! Jeanette said get back on the paxil like yesterday and worry about quitting them at a much later date.

My granny turned 92 today and we celebrated at the lake. My uncles all came in and we had the best time! My granny is the wisest, kindest, person in my life.

Thank you all for your support during my nutty days! I am sure there will be more days like that (hopefully not that severe) but I want to say I may not have any answers but I will definitely be here to lend a sympathetic ear.

THATS GREAT TO HEAR!!!! its been a week since my surgery and i found out today ive lost 10 pounds already its crazy... im just seriously tired of stage 2 BRING ON THE REAL FOOD! lol Its very crazy how you learn so much about yourself I never knew i had such a food problem. If I can see it i will eat it even if i wasnt hungry... im so glad im starting to have some self knowledge! (: WAY TO GO!!!

Glad to hear things went so well.... And glad to hear emotionally you are feeling better... Go slow with your food... It's easy to get back into old habits....
And I had to go back on my happy pills too... I got off of them right after surgery... Big mistake... They really do help, and there is nothing to be ashamed of taking them...

So glad all is well! I am in the pureed stage as well. Haven't tried an omelet. Did you puree it? How was it if you did?

So glad you are doing better, I've been thinking about you a lot. I will be speaking to my psych nurse when the time comes, I have no intention of stopping my happy pills! They work too we'll ;-)

Im a sleevie and had my one month post op visit with my doc this past monday. Have lost a total of 32 pounds since my highest weight pre-surgery. I was amazed at how well I felt. Just like you I went through the puree stage and I am so happy to be on a soft foods diet. Its not much food, but it's real food again.

Bouvier--I put ham, cheese, and an egg with a little skim milk in my nutriblast/bullet thingy. Then as it was cooking I chopped it into a million pieces....
