Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
It is my understanding that it's the bodies way of catching up... And if you have just started exercising you may be building muscle.. That weighs more than fat, so that could be some of what is going on...
This is all normal, frustrating, but normal... Just keep doing what you are supposed to and the scale with move... I only weigh myself once a week now, otherwise I would be totally crazy....
Hang in there.. You will start losing again...
Please take your body measurements. You aren't really in a true stall unless neither inches or pounds change for two weeks or more.
It's very likely that you are still losing inches, even if the scale isn't moving. And that's a good thing! It means that you are burning fat and that's the most important thing--not a number on a scale.
Hang in there!
