Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Try not to focus on the scale so much as the changes that are continuing to happen to your body. Take your body measurements every week. You'll see that you are shrinking, no matter what the scale is doing. :)
And about plateaus, they come, they linger, you just have to keep doing what you are supposed to do and the weight will come off. Kally, I remember you have gone through a lot already, so try not to beat yourself up with your epectations of yourself and your body. It's good to have goals but hosetly there is only so much of this process you can control. Just keep the faith and you will get where you are going. It's not about those scale numbers, really, and it's not a race. You are doing what you need to do and the weight will come off when your body is ready to let go of it.
May you have a lovely visit from the "whoosh fairy" soon!
