I am a pastor's wife. I loving being one most of the time!!! However, a few of my flock are aware of my upcoming surgery. Many of them comment on how pretty that I am and they like me for who I am. I know they mean well, but if they just knew how much I weigh. I know this journey that I have chose for myself is not going to be easy. Life is not easy!!! However, I do like who I am on the inside, but I want to be everthing God call me to be. I chose this tool to help me accomplish that goal. I know that God will give me the strength and guide me all the way. He is worthy to be praise!!!!

If he leads you to it he will lead you through it. God is mighty that way and he put this in your path so that you can serve him better.

You will do amazingly well. I agree with anewelly if he leads you to it he will get you through it.


God has placed many things in my path over the years and i have accomplished them or hurdled them and found the reason he did so was so much greater than if i hadn't done it and i didn't experience such.

You stay strong and all of us are here as well

Maybe those people just need to know the outside package may change but the "who you are" wont. At least the part that guides your beliefs and core values. You more then likely will gain self esteme and things we lose when we get burried under to much of our outside.

I know how this goes. :) and people do mean well, but some that come to God figure you should just Love yourself and ignore the other stuff. Maybe they just don't have your kind of issues and they don't get it. But, we are all human. I know you have the Lord. And he loves you, and some people think that's good enough. I love the Lord, I am also sure he loves me enough to want me, to be happy with me. ---- and he wants you to be happy with you. If he doesn't tell you he disapproves ,than go for it! Just pray about it first. Blessings

We are to treat our bodies as his temple. Gluttony is bad. HE gave us this body to serve him well. I believe that he guided us to this, brought us through it for he has a plan. We dont know the plan, but we'll be healthy enough to do his will, Maybe we are to help others..I dont know, will wait to find out. I am ever so thankful that my body already feels better!!
I am sure youre lovely inside and outside, lets get healthy for the Lord and just turn the other cheek and smile at others....

You might also choose to remind them that this is not only about vanity, but also about your health. They may not be able to see your health issues like high blood pressure, high sugars, sleep apnea etc... but it's great that you're about to do something to help curb these issues.
