I can tell you that my pouch is definitely ok, even being 5 years out from surgery and abusing it. I feel very lucky and blessed to still have this tool available to me.
I do think I can eat more (the correct way) in one sitting than I could at 6 months to a year out. But not much more; before it was maybe 1/2 cup to 1 cup per meal; now it's more like an easy 1 cup per meal. So I do have to watch the amount/calories I eat in one sitting. I do get comfortably full but not stuffed with one cup of food.
