My daughter told me over the weekend that she, her husband, and my granddaughter are moving back to Florida, about 3 miles from me. I have only spent 2 weeks with my lil peanut and she just turned 1 on 9/16.
They're thinking it'll be easier for them to find a job, I think it'll be tougher and don't necessarily think that picking up and moving from MO to FL is a good idea, but if that's what they want then I'll support their decisions - long as they don't think they're piling in on me. lol They're setting up an apartment with her friend and her friends boyfriend, which I also don't think is a good idea, but right now they're living in a 3 bedroom house with like 10 people, so anything is better than that.
Regardless, I'll be able to get to know my grandbaby and spend more time with her, and that I'm excited about! YAY! They'll be here on 10/13.

My mother lives with us also, so she and my son are very close. He works full time as a manager, but we prefer he not pay rent, but save up enough to buy a car and eventually enough to put down on a house and skip the wasted apt. rent!
I recently got disability started, but If we needed the money it would be there, and he works in the yard and does a thousand little "hey there" tasks!
He has helped a lot during my recuperation and is taking grandma to Chemotherapy. This keeps my wife from having to take time off.
SO, it can be a good thing to have family move in, if the boundaries and responsibilities are clearly stated and agreed to...Enjoy!
