Once in our 100 yr old house we were telling ghost stories and the tool shelves in the laundry room came crashing down and fifteen 10 year olds VERY much believed in ghosts!

My aunt had something that would cook collard greens in an old house in Ocala. The smell was unmistakable!

There were several moved objects after my father's death, before his funeral, with tremendous sentimental value to each of us...I don't know...B00!!

We went out for sushi on Thursday and were talking about that creepy movie Paranormal activities....the freakin soup bowl MOVED like 6 inches!!!
Mike said it was from the heat under the bowl or something. Whatever the hell it was, scared the piss outa me and I dont like soup bowls anymore!!

I have had several experiences that some might consider ghostly, so I do believe that SOMETHING is there, though whether it's "ghosts" or
"psychic energy" or what, I don't pretend to know.

Yes, I do believe in ghosts.

I am a Christian, I believe in God. I believe there are Angels. I believe in Satan, I believe there are Demons, I believe in a spirit world. Ghosts are spirits. Yes, I do believe. Simple really.

Not that this was a ghost one ...... but.... One time, when my brother and I were younger, he was telling me something and I kept saying he was lying and, of course, he kept saying he wasn't. We lived in MO at the time and it was storming. My brother says to me (in a snotty voice)... "If I am lying, may God strike!" CRAAAACK! (that is lightning coming down)... His hair stood up on him and he started saying, I'm lying, I'm lying..... I started laughing my ass off.

Maybe a relative was saying hi!

I have never met anyone who has seen a bona fide ghost....anybody?

I don't necessarily believe in "ghosts" as much as spirits. My house is over 80 years old and things happen all the time. We hear footsteps, things moving in the attic, doors open and close, and my daughter's tv was on and upas loud as it can go when we came home on Friday evening. No one had been home since 7 am. I told her the loved ones in heaven couldn't hear the tv at its normal level.

I believe there is "somthing" out there. I don't have a clue what... I did have one experience. As a young teenager, I woke to the pressure of something sitting on my chest. I was terrified and couldn't move and couldn't yell. I continued to fight against it and then... Poof it was gone..... I was thrown against the wall... Never happened again!

My 17 year old insists that there is a ghost in her room.. She will not sleep in there unless her light is on... She has had strange things happen in her room and images on the wall.. (kept picking on her until she took pictures with her cell). I still pick on her, I believe in ghost, or angles, spirits... but it's still fun picking on her...

Hmmmm not sure but when my dad died one of the things I inherited was his telephone.
Now my dad was somebody who would contact me from the other side...if at all possible.
My dad used to call long distance at 11pm at night because that was when the rates went down (in the old days).
After I got his phone home and installed it would ring at 11pm. When I picked up there was nothing but static at the other end.
This happened so may times I called the telephone company to inquire if there was something wrong with my line.
They did a complete check and reported that my line was fine although they found they story very odd.
I don't know whether I believe I believe in ghosts but I do believe in matter and energy.
I believe that emotions and feelings (like love or pain) can be so strong that they can manifest themselves physically and attach to a place or thing.

I believe... that extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence.

I believe ... what can be asserted without proof can just as easily be be dismissed without proof.

I believe... that the basics tenants of science are easily learned by anyone who cares to in just a few short hours. This is not difficult, nor does anyone need an IQ of 200 to understand the fundamentals.

I believe.... that when we demand empirical evidence and independent reproducibity of results, as distinguished from anecdote, we are far better prepared to protect ourselves and our children from becoming the victims of those who would prey upon us for montetary or political gain.

I believe... that if I can scare the crap out of you with a superstition I know you believe in, I can easily control you. Fear is primal.

I believe... I want all my doctors to base their treatment of me on well-established science, not on superstitions.

I believe... that penicillin does not require my faith in its power in order to destroy the cell walls of gram positive bacteria.

I believe... we should equip first ourselves and then our children with the basic tools skepticism.

I beleive... the heat-producing stunts of the Qigong master are better explained as an obvious example of the exothermic effect, rather than claiming that the master is "projecting his chi energy".

I believe... that my future and my happiness will be found in my own thoughts and actions and not in crystal balls, tarot cards, tea leaves, astrology, numerology, psychics, prophets or revelations.
