I'm a week post op and I've kept feeling like I've got some abbrasions or rough spots on my inner cheek and gums. So this moring when I brushed my teeth I decided to check it out. I did notice a few days ago that my tongue was a little coated, but chalked it up to dry mouth and all the meds I had been on. When I checked out my cheeks and gums this morning, I noticed little white, fuzzy patches. I think I have thrush! I've got a call in the the doc and and waiting for a call back. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how do I get rid of it???

I never have but Have heard of others who did. Your doc will tell you more but keep your mind at ease It seems a number of people experience this.

I concur - I think you have oral thrush, Check in with you doc and get a prescription for oral Diflucan. That should take care of it.

I had it about three months after surgery, I was given meds that cleared it up in less than a week. It is caused by a number of things including stress, meds...good luck, it hurts, but is easily cleared up.

It sounds like Thrush. I had it too about a week or so out. Check with your doc. They should give you Diflucan. it takes a little while to go away, but it will if you take the meds.

Hi Amber, So sorry you are having this issue, My Mom used to get it all the time sure sounds like Thrush to me. Get well soon.

For thrush, you normally just take Diflucan- but they also have a liquid form. I hope you heal quickly- it's a pain in the butt!!

Thanks guys. Doc called in a liquid I have to swoosh around and the thrush is almost cleared up alreay!

sorry you had it, but glad it's almost gone!

I get it once in a while, because I'm on inhalers, and the Symbicort that I'm on, I need to rinse really well, or it can cause Thrush.

it's no fun, but with the script, it does go away quickly, just make sure to finish the dosage the Dr gave you.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
