We all somehow look for shortcuts or little cheats. My feelings are unless I'm willing to strip down naked to get on the scale at the doc office(am I am not) I may as well weigh dressed on at least the day of the doc visit. At least then I will be able to calibrate the accuracy of my scale to the doc's. Clothes usually weigh between 1 1/2 to 3 lbs and the weight you weighed in at every visit included that.

Tomorrow I go for my one year visit. I run between a pound under and 2 pounds over my goal. So I don't know where I will land at the doctor's office.

Isn't it absolutely amazing the changes in one year and how fast that year flew by? Even my daughter said that she couldn't believe it had been a year - it only seems like a few months.

Congratulations on how far youve come. Remember there is still so much more positives for you. You worked your butt off to get to this day. See if your nurse will comp the clothing weight lol My gp nurse does in winter. :)

I used to wear the lightest weight clothes I have to the doc appts. Seriously like feather weight work out pants and tops.

It does suck that our "true" weight is not seen by the doc's but I as slvrstrega said am also NOT willing to stand naked on the scale at the docs office. LOL.

I always take off 5 pounds just for my clothing. If its the small tings that make us smile then why not?

Thanks guys! I did survive the scale ordeal. 1/2 pound loss since Friday am. Just not quite enough to be at the Magic Number. I knew I shudda got nekkid!! Still 3 pounds to go. Everyone there acted like I was at goal, though! How very kind! My bp was 112/72. That's a huge non medicated improvement over 160/128! They took four tubes of blood this morning too. Wasn't expecting to visit the vampire today, so that was a surprise.

Anyway, that's how it all worked out. They were pleased with my progress. Technically speaking, the 23rd is my REAL surgiversary, so
I have a few more days to work really really hard to get to my self imposed deadline of goal at one year out! ;)
