What did you do with your old clothes? I'm thinking about selling some on Ebay but don't know if it's worth the effort. Some friends and family have asked to shop my closet but I feel kind of weird about it. Any advice?
Another possibility, if you've got some really nice stuff, you might find a local consignment shop where such items might fetch a fair price. This is a good option if time is a concern. They handle all of the details for you and if it sells you just pick up the money. There's one such shop where I live that specializes in large sized 'extra nice' used clothes for women.
On a side note... Twice a year this consignment store eliminates their entire inventory to make room for seasonal changes. They sell any remaining inventory for $1 a piece - one day only. My wife recently attended this sale and got probably $2,000+ (est. value) for around $100 - really nice stuff too - several pant suits, tops, and dress coats.
