I have been experiencing numbness in my legs and I have visited my Dr and he said I was lacking in Potassium. I have been taking my Potasium since last Thursday but have not been getting any better. Has anyone had this problem? Is it common , and if so how long does it take to go away?

I have not had this problem, however, I do know that severe potassium deficiency can cause permanent damage to your body, so be sure to take it every day.

You should probably ask your doctor how long it should be taking to feel the effects of the potassium and see improvement. I hope it gets better for you soon.

When I was in the hospital with my GI bleed my left leg cramped really really bad, and they ran tests and found I was low in potassium as well. They gave me some in liquid form, VERY nasty!, then they gave it to me in my iv's twice afterwards. I haven't had any issues since being in the hospital but I was going to ask my doctor if I should be taking potassium as a supplement. I would definetely check with your doctor tomorrow.
