Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
My favorites in the pureed stage were tuna with a little lite mayo and pickle relish for taste blended through my ninja and fat free beans with fat free cheddar cheese and salsa also run through the blender. I couldn't tolerate eggs until month 3. They made me super sick. But now I use "real eggs" that come in carton at Costco. They come out yellow, like God intended. Egg whites just don't do it for me!
Good luck girl! Congrats on your new life!
Lisa you had the sleeve so yours might be a little different than my program was I'd have to pull the book. I couldn't tolerate tuna but did tolerate canned chicken made to chicken salad.
You are doing an amazing job. Will be anxious to hear your weight loss again. Do you see the doctor/nutritionist Monday?
Keep up the great work your doing amazing.
Still on protein, water and trying a bite here and there of food.
Pureed I have only done refried beans and cheese. Which after liquids was the greatest meal EVER! Tonight I am trying Shelly's Baked Ricotta from the world according to eggface blog. I am excited.
