Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Sounds like you are doing just fine with your wt loss.... However, I am sorry to hear about your heal splinter! That does not sound fun at all!
Welcome to our little family! Some great people here!
Keep up with your schedule, it will work and don't be too anxious. Believe me I'm anxious too! So you are not alone =)
On my program, at three weeks, I was just starting the pureed stage, so you seem to be advancing pretty quickly.
One thing I want to say: You have to plan on giving your meal planning and prepping serious consideration. Being busy is just an excuse we all used in the past to justify fast food meals and other poor meal choices. Long-term success is going to require that you make your food choices important.
Ultimately, that means that you give yourself and your own needs priority. That's a good thing. It's NOT selfishness. It's smart. :)
My nut said that G2 was good for us, but I just can't seem to like it. :) I have struggled a bit on occasion with dehydration.
Just keep ticking along and ditch the scale. It is not your friend!
I ended up getting a bag of fluids pumped in a month out - it helped a lot. I still don't get in all the required fluids but I try and that's all I can do.
I'm 3 mo out now and I'm doing well. You will too. Slow and steady is good for you. Congratulations!!!! Hope your foot feels better!!!!
Keep up the good work.
I personally would be careful with Gatorade, there's lots of sugar and sodium in Gatorade.

I am considered a lightweight... I started out at 252 pounds, and my goal is to reach 150... Because I am a lightweight I will lose slower than some that are heavier and have more to lose... I average a pound a week, and on occasion a little more... But I have learned to accept that... My skin is adapting to the weight loss, and when I am diligent about working out, my skin tones very nicely....
And early on I learned to stay off the scale... I allow myself once a week to weigh unless I have a doc appt.... I only weigh when I first get out of bed and after using the bathroom... And I use the same scale.... If I do have a doc appt, I will weigh myself prior as their scales never match mine... It took some discipline to do this, but I am not crazy in my head on a daily basis about my weight loss...
Hang in there... And btw.. You right just fine and very understandable.. You are doing wonderful... This is YOUR journey... Try not to compare numbers.... I have learned that... I am very excited for everyone as their numbers drop, but I also know their body is different than mine....
My heel is a little better today. Hopefully, I can start walking in the mornings again before the end of the week.
Thanks for all your support. That is why I am SO glad I joined this group!!
