Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Yeah, I did tell them before, that I was smoking 1-3 cigs, but not every day. That was part of the reason he told me he'd wait another 6 weeks, he usually has people stop for 3 months, so mine will be a month shy of that, but he knows how much pain and weight are on my joints, and that my chronic pain is bad.
He is such a sweetie!! I'm kinda glad that he called me directly to talk. It's nice having a few conversations with your Dr, prior to major surgery.
I have seen him in the office a few times, but the last couple of times I've met with the PA, who is SUPER nice and caring.
I love the whole office, and now that he took such a personal interest in "ME", I even feel better about the surgery, cause I know he cares about me, not just the money.
So, I am not on the liquid diet anymore, until 2 weeks before surgery. I'm on the preop low fat diet, which I know I can do!
I am proud of myself, lost 26 pounds, feeling more energetic, and can't wait until the pounds will keep coming off after surgery.
My eating habits and appetite have TOTALLY changed.!!
I GOT THIS Folks!!!
Hugs to you all,
Boo
