Good luck and let us know how you do! all the best, Chris
I'm not allowed to take pills. Everything has be in liquid form including Lortab for pain when I came home... I wasn't on any other meds pre-surgery.
My nut started me on Bariatric Advantage Wild Berry Punch Complete MultiFormula w/Calcium. It's a crystal powder you add to 8 oz of water... it's really good.
She'll start me on an iron suppliment (chewable) in 3 weeks.
Kisses
Back pain for me was structural, not gaseous. We were laid out on a hard O.R. table for hours under anesthesia. I needed a good adjustment and massage to get my back to feel better. I wasn't ready to do that for several days post op though. Just my experience.
As for the vitamin/pill issue, I was giving myself a pep talk just last night about this very thing. I'm ten months out and between vitamins, hormones, herbs and a bunch of other supplements that i choose to take, every day is a LARGE handfuls of pills morning and evening. Lately I can hear my head trying to talk me out of the evening pile-o-pills. Not good! So i recommitted to staying on track. Anyway, i have found that the only way for me to take them is with yogurt. It keeps my sometimes sensitive little pouchy from revolting. Except for the iron, which we know to keep away from calcium, I do it this way. Be patient too. I am FINALLY back up to 4-6 pills in a swallow depending on how big they are, but it took til last month to get there! I thought I would never get there but each day gets easier in one way or another. Hang in! Peace Misa
Regarding the pill thing: I couldn't stand crushing pills or the chewables. As soon as I got the doctor's okay, I started swallowing them whole. I'm a year and a half out, now, and can swallow 4-5 at a time again. So, take heart!! It will get better!
