Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I think sometimes it's difficult to find everything we want in a surgeon.
I think it is awesome that you were able to get what you needed from your surgeon.... I truly believe their time is so limited... To me it says a lot that she found the time to call you..... Hang in there.. You are almost to your surgery date... And I will so look forward to walking the journey with you...
I agree with Kathi... I too have had many surgeries (However I think she has me beat! LOL) And I'll take a great surgeon with no bedside manners over the reverse... And if we can get both, well, that like winning the lotto!
I have only seen mine once, that was at the very beginning of the 6 month process. She seemed caring and was very informative. I will see her again before surgery, and she told me if at any time during the 6 months I felt I needed to come see her again, for anything, just to call and make an appt. So, I think yeah, its the team that cares for me during the 6 months, but it is nice to know she is there if I need her...
"team" it's all good.
Since then I have changed my view. He's fine. He just wanted to make sure I was committed enough to go through with the surgery and the life plan afterward.
And he is still the best of the best!
