Okay, tomorrow is ten weeks post-op, and up until yesterday I've had absolutely no problems (other than an occasional tight feeling after eating).
Well, my luck ran out, and I had my first vomiting incident. I went out for Thai food, and didn't have anything really different from what I've eaten before (I tolerate just about everything). From what I can figure, it was a problem with chewing, and probably the part of a fresh spring roll I ate. The wrapper was really chewy, and I bet I didn't take enough time with it.
I didn't get any kind of warning (the ache I sometimes feel when I think I'm full); the pain hit very suddenly. I felt horrible for about 4 hours yesterday, until finally it came up (sorry!) and then I was instantly fine.
Needless to say, I'm going to be extra careful about the chewing from now on! I've wondered if having no problems meant I would be problem-free forever, and I guess I have my answer now!
Just a cautionary tale for anyone else doing really well who lets themselves slip for a minute!

And yes - watch the chewing. I have been known to excuse myself and spit out anything I can't chew into oblivion.

We have an amazing Thai food place in my city and I find the spices are quite strong but really delicious.
My worst dumping Costco and only eat the top.
Oh my what a mistake.
I was visiting a friend in the hospital when it hit.
OMG both ends. I didn't know wheatherto sit on the toilet or stand and throw up so I took turns.
My heart was pounding out of my chest and I was running hot and cold sweats.
I thought I would die right there in the hospital bathroom.
Finally it passed strangely though it just seemed to be the Costco icecream.
I have tried a bit of other kinds like Dairy Queen, Breyers, Chapmens frozen yogurt not to mention my new favorite Skinny cow and have had no problem.
I don't know what it was in that ice cream. I eaten a crispy creme donut, Tim Hortons donuts,cake and all mannner of sweet stuff or fried food and nothing.
I guess you can't win em all.
Personally I wish I had less options of what I could eat.
Being able to eat baked goods , chocolate and candy at Christmas really didn't help.
