Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. I purchased (ordered from woman within, one of the on line fat stores!) some summer clothes the other day... they arrived today. 3 pairs of capris, and several (ok, like 5, but don't tell my hubby!) blouses.
I have determined/decided they will be my LAST fat clothes purchases! I will get thru the summer with them, have surgery in Aug. and then on to smaller summer!
Next summer when I purchase clothes it will be a different process! I will actually go to the store to buy them and No more, what will fit and hide the fat, but what will look cute and the exclamation over what size they are will be made in joy vs. disgust!
While still preop, it seems we wait and wait and wait and wait... like our day will never come. So I think, at least for me, it is important to find pre-surgery milestones... and I see this as one of them :)
I WILL join ya'll on that bench before I know it! And I will look forward to shopping for summer clothes NEXT spring! :) It will be here before I know it!

Aug is around the corner!!
Right before my surgery I went to Cancun
The whole week I said to myself,
Last fat bathing suit
Last fat Tshirt, shorts,
Being out of breath walking the beach, hoping there was a fatter person at the pool ( just being honest)
I am so thrilled for your journey!! It's better than you can imagine!!
You're such an asset to this group. I always enjoy your humor and your great vision on everything.
I can't wait to start shopping too. Saving up the money for a fun, of the rack, splurge!
My butts getting smaller, so there will be room next to me!

Just keep your eye on the prize! Not gonna lie, the early stages/months are pretty rough, but the end results will be so worth it!
And as others have said - you are a delight to have here on DS.
And in regards to the 2nd hand stores, I cannot wait to be small enough so I will have more success shopping at them!!
