Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I think we all worry about not being able to lose the last amount of weight, or all that we want to. I'm one of those, at 2 years out, still dealing the last almost 8 months with the last 10# I want to lose. You have to account for loose skin too, my doctor says an average of 12-15# for the person who loses 125-150# and I'm right there.
Life IS better now, isn't it! Good point....worth remembering !

You have found your path. FYI don't worry about the slow down or eating to much. You need to feed the body and it'll do the
rest.
I'm just so proud and happy for you!
Love Lu
Funny how bones you never knew you had stick out after losing tons of weight :)
You are doing good, hard, work and making sense of things.
Keep up your mental toughness and being kind to yourself. Kudos to you.
You have already won even if you never loose another pound.
You rock girl!
I am still eating per plan for the most part (my NUT allows crackers, but I am trying to not eat many of those, I am afraid they will just be a gateway carb to bad eating habits, but I am ADDICTED to pita chips right now and need to stop buying them - I eat maybe 3 a day, so yummy!) ... I just feel I am eating more and have some guilt about that - depending on what I am eating I can eat between a half cup to a cup at a sitting. I can eat more of slider foods and any food I drink - smoothies or protein shakes. I eat less of dense foods - heavy proteins (mostly chicken for me, the easter ham was VERY heavy, salmon) I can barely do a half a cup. I allow myself to have food in front of me for 30 minutes and then I get rid of what left. I am almost six months out and the larger portions are new as of a few weeks ago. I think its normal to be able to have a little more in my pouch, and I could use the nutrition with my gym and training schedule ... just have to let go of the food guilt!
You look great!
Hugs, Peg
