Okay, I know that isn't a word, but I like it!
So, I go see the doc, get weighed, all is okay. See the doc, he says, How ya doin? I say, well, I can almost see my knees, that's good, right? And he just looks at me like...hmmmm...
Clearly not a jokin' kind of a guy. But I am on track and actually 1 pound less than what they projected for this date (I always was an overachiever!). Makes me not feel so bad about being a card-carrying member of the Slow Loser's Club. For those who keep track, for me that has meant an average of about 2.8 pounds per week. Yes, I know, some of you do two a day. I don't wanna hear about it! That's one reason I refuse to weigh myself much, it helps me avoid those killer comparisons.
But today, folks my BMI was at 39...that's right, I am no longer MORBIDLY obese. Ha!
And finally had blood drawn for the first time (wondering how they know anything without a baseline to compare it to...) and found out the lab queen is a shoe freak like me. We got to talking about boots, and booties, and fall coming, and I am thinking, I want to wear my HEELS again. Yahoo! The time is coming, I just know it.
So, I am 37.3% of the way toward my personal goal (not the doc's, don't care about his). And I finally feel mostly like the new way of eating is becoming normal. Took me long enough!
