Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

I wasn't losing enough weight on week one of the liquid diet and my surgeon was going to move my surgery date out so that I had more time to comply. I got to keep my original date, but she scared me into losing 12 lbs in five days.
So go see your nutritionist and take as much help as you can get.
My nutritionist's suggestions:
No potatoes, no bread, no crackers, no rice, no corn or peas. No cereal, even oatmeal. No sugar, (you become sugar intolerant after surgery). Low fat, high protein choices, like tuna, cottage cheese, chicken breast, etc. No fast food. Tons of veggies. Try Morning Star products, in the frozen foods at wal-mart, safeway, etc. 64 oz of water daily, vitamins. Also add 2 protein shakes daily at least 40g of protein/serving. You may have to really shop around, because most of them are disgusting.
It's a whole learning process though. They arn't kidding when they say "lifestyle change." LOL Also a great place for recipe ideas is from our fellow support group member eggface. She has an amazing collection at http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
