I have always professed to hating shopping. Now, I cannot pass a store without peeking in. Your attitude changes when you go from a size 26 to a size 8!

LOL! I always said I was so not the "girlie girl" and hated shopping. My standard was "I can't stand it I go get what I need and get out of there" WHat I discovered was I hated shopping when nothing fit me. I hated going to the "big girl" stores and not being able to wear even the biggest size. Your perspective changes when you can shop anywhere! I was a 26 and now I am a 6 and I find myself at the mall more often than I ever was. I even had to get all new shoes since my foot went from a 91/2 wide to an 8 1/2- 9 NARROW! I always said I was big boned. I discovered I am actually quite "small boned".

You guys are scaring me! I've been the shopping queen for queen sized clothes for years. I've give my biggest ones away and my closet is begging for new deposits!

I rationalize by saying I have to look good for work!

I'm wearing leggings and a fairly long top today. One of my co-workers said I had the skinniest legs she's seen. I am built like a chicken. It was a nice compliment.

My shoes are already too big......

I can't wait to go shopping. I am already 2 sizes down 5 weeks post op. Also, my shoes are also fitting differently. I love shoes, I can't wait to restock!!!

I am half way there and have to have new stuff.
Everything is on clearance right now and I am lugging in stuff on a daily basis (pratically)
When tops and pants are 2.50 to 5.00 or 7.50 to 20.00 max for the good stuff... I must BUY!
Sale prices, looking much better in clothes and not fitting into my old stuff makes it a perfect storm for clothes shopping.
I find it very hard to resist.

Hey Sherilock - don't get rid of those socks too soon. I'm almost 6 months out and they have been the coldest 6 months of my life. Yesterday I got up, put on some capris and sandals - by noon I was in long pants and thermal socks. I live in California! Granted its near San Francisco, not LA, but still it was 70 out.

Shopping has been a little overwhelming for me. I do it - If you are what you wear, I'm cheap, quick and easy right now. But I'm really grateful for my socks - the one thing that always fits.

Old Navy is my new favorite store. I could never shop there before, but now I am there ALL THE TIME! Their clearance rack RAWKS! Usually they have an additional 50% off marked price and I got 4 tops last weekend for $9.82. I love to shop, but my checkbook doesn't like it when I do, so I try to be thrifty.. yanno.. have my cake and eat it too.

I had to replace every single thing I owned, including shoes and underwear. Surreal and exhilerating at the same time. I love catching my reflecting in something although at times it is stil a shock LOL

I spent most of my life avoiding clothes shopping, it was such a downer because I could only fit into 5x or 4x clothes. Now that I can fit into just a large size, I really enjoy it. In fact we (my wife and I) made plans to go this weekend. Do I have to turn in my man card now cause I like to clothes shop? Dang

Rath - nope, just say it's because you 'need' it. lol You have to replace your old 'fat clothes'. :D

I'm tickled that I can now wear small and medium sized shirts, and I only buy the 'girl' t-shirts, the ones that kind of angle in at the waist, because they are more feminine. I don't even look twice at the 'boy' t-shirts now.

My BF and I went to Sports Authority and were looking at Yankee jerseys and they were all super huge.. so on a whim I picked up one of the 'youth' large jerseys and put it on, and it fit me perfectly! LOL You should have seen the look on his face.. he just shook his head. It was funny.
