Just got a call from my dr's office, had gone for my annual CAT scan for kidney stones and....got another stone, this one is 4mm.
Last one I had was 7mm and I didn't know I had it until it tried to pass. I ended up on a morphine drip, demorol and was still in agonizing pain. Had surgery to remove the stone and had a stent put in. Was, to put it politely, hell on earth.
Now hearing I have another stone, not quite as big as the last one, has literally got me sweating with fear. Have to go for more xrays on Monday and follow up with the doctor. One good thing is that this one is still in my kidney.
Not sure how this is going to go. Please keep me in your prayers. Not sure I could mentally make it through that surgery again.
Sorry to have my pity party, but pretty nervous. Guess in the grand scheme of life, this is nothing compared to what others have to handle in life.
