Thanks to all my DS friends and family. I had my GBS surgery on Oct 10th 2007, at that point I was tipping the scale at close to 340 pounds. This morning I stepped on the scale today and saw that I have officially lost 104 lbs to date! I still have another 30-40 lbs to go but making it into the "Triple Digit Club" is very exciting and was a huge goal that I was striving for. I cannot say THANK YOU enough to everyone here on DS that has given me awesome advice, shared your stories and left warm and encouraging words to help keep me going during the rough and unsure times! If someone would have told me exactly a year ago that I would lose 100 pounds by the same time the following year, I would have laughed at them! But I did it! It's a tremendous feeling being able to walk into just about any department store and see a shirt or a nice pair of pants and be able to say to myself, "Heh...I can wear that!" No more Big & Tall stores, no more "Big Guy / Big Fella" remarks. The feeling of jumping in and out my car with ease, the increased energy to play with my son and handle everyday chores. Life has truly changed for the better! I went from having Extreme High Blood Pressure and Sleep Apnea to not needing another stinking pill again! Lol! Thanks Again to all of you, my DS family! I don't think I would be where I am today without you guys!
