Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I am working on similar things too... trying to get a handle on letting myself feel whatever I need to feel, vs thinking I need to fix it (or bury/stuff it with food!) or that what I am feeling is wrong somehow. Nothing wrong about having emotions, up or down ones... they just 'are' :)
(((HUGS)))
For me so much has changed... And I don't always know how to process it all... And most of the time I couldn't even tell you what is really wrong... I just feel "lost"... I don't feel like me anymore...
I get compliments constantly, and I have recently even run into people who don't know who I am... And they feel great, but as we all should know by now, losing weight and being healthy doesn't fix everything in our lives.... It helps a lot, don't get me wrong, but we have to learn how to fix many of the same things that bothered us pre-surgery...
Hang in there my friend... You are very normal... And tomorrow is another day....
Sending lots of love and big silly smiles. :-) :-) :-)
