Hello all, I am one week out of lap band and I was so excited to go shopping and buy some new jeans in a few different sizes. (so that while I lose I have something to wear) So I am in a 14-16 and I wanted to get a few pair of jeans in sizes 8,10,12. You know so I have something to look forward to. I am one week out and I have lost 10 lbs. So I take my 15 yr old sister (I'm 29) shopping with me. So we are at the store and I am all excited and then she said that this is a stupid idea and a waste of money. She said that she has clothes that range from size 10-14 (she also recently lost 30lbs) that I could have. And I don't know what size I will be in so I shouldn't waste money. So I bought the clothes anyways, but I just felt so defeated and like I was wasting time and money. She ruined my moment, and I'm kinda pissed. Now that I am home I sitting here thinking did I waste my time and money. Thoughts
You might want to take the jeans you bought back and buy some real nice blouses and sweaters instead. It is going to be real cold when you lose the layers of fat and a nice top can make a big diffrence. A nice blouse can get you noticed.
Your sister will grow up being so proud she can share with you as well aND you have saved money to boot.
Of course you deserve those jeans but wow can they be spendy. It is often best to go to the good will as you lose down to size and then reward yourself with a brand new wardrobe in the end.
Of course i didn't do this and i will get a serger and put a big dart in the back of my tops and jackets. and take them in at the arm seams. I sure hope they work. -wink-
